What happens if I claim under more than one policy section for the same event or item?

Pineapple won’t pay twice for the same loss. You'll only be compensated once if your claim falls under more than one policy section. Insurance is meant to put you back in the same financial position before the loss, not a better one. Allowing “double dips” (claiming twice for the same thing) would be unfair to the rest of the Pineapple community and could push up premiums for everyone.
