No. You will not receive a premium refund if a Covered Event causes the Total Loss of an Insured Item. Here’s why:
Your monthly premium covers the entire period, starting from your debit date. So, even if a Total Loss occurs early in the period, you’re still insured for that whole month, and Pineapple has carried the risk of paying out at any point in that timeframe.
A Total Loss payout (e.g., your household contents being completely destroyed in a fire or burglary) settles the claim in full. Since the event has already triggered compensation, a.k.a., we’ve already paid out, so the remaining premium for that period is not refundable.
