Your Cover, in Plain Language

Insurance can sometimes feel like a pile of paperwork. But your Policy Schedule and supporting documents are designed to give you a clear view of what you’re covered for and where to find the details.

The Policy Schedule — Your Personalised Snapshot

Your Policy Schedule is your at-a-glance summary of your contract with Pineapple. It doesn’t include every clause, but it does contain the details specific to you:

  • Policy number & holder details – Your unique identifiers.

  • Cover dates – When your insurance starts and ends for the period.

  • Insured items – e.g., Motor Vehicles – BW62XYGP.

  • Compensation limits – The maximum we’ll pay for each insured item.

  • Premiums – Your monthly premium, plus any pro-rata or additional amounts.

  • Excesses – What you’ll pay first in a claim.

  • Debit date – When we deduct your premium.

  • Vehicle details – Make, model, year, licence, VIN, and use.

  • Regular driver – Who drives your vehicle most often.

Important: Read your Policy Schedule carefully and tell us straight away if anything is wrong or has changed. Inaccuracies can affect your cover when you claim.

Beyond the Schedule — The Full Policy Pack

Your Policy Schedule comes as part of a policy pack which usually includes:

  • Policy Wording – The full terms and conditions, definitions, inclusions, and exclusions.

  • Pineapple Juice Document – How the rewards program works, and who qualifies.

  • Road & Home Emergency Service Document – What help is available 24/7.

  • Disclosure Notice – Who we are, your rights, and how to contact us (including for complaints or ombudsman support).

Why All the Documents Matter Together

Your application details, Policy Schedule, and Policy Wording form one complete agreement, so they must be read together. If there’s ever a conflict between your Policy Schedule and the rest of the documents, the Policy Schedule takes priority.

Bottom line: Reviewing your full policy pack, especially your personalised Policy Schedule, gives you a clear understanding of your cover and ensures there are no surprises when you claim.
