You can cancel your policy anytime through the Pineapple App, our website, or even on WhatsApp.
Your cover will end at midnight on your chosen cancellation effective date.
If you want to cancel with immediate effect, between the date your next debit has been submitted to the bank and your actual debit date, a R450 admin fee may be deducted from your refund.
Refund Policy — What to Expect
After a cooling-off period or if you’ve claimed: If it’s been more than 14 days since you started your policy, or you’ve already claimed benefits, you generally won’t get a refund on premiums you’ve paid, because you’ve already had cover during that time.
Premium submitted but not yet collected: If your next premium has been sent to the bank for collection but hasn’t gone off yet, you’ll get a refund minus a R450 premium refund admin fee.
Total loss of an insured item: If a covered event results in the total loss of an insured item during your cover period, the premium for the rest of that period won’t be refunded.
