Question: Where can customers get the discount?
Answer: Only on Pineapple.co.za through the standard quote journey. Go to pineapple.co.za, click “Get a Quote” and start a new quote for the ride you wish to insure. Potential customers who are referred by dealerships and other lead providers are also eligible, provided that they get a quote and buy a policy during the promotional period.
Question: Who qualifies for the 20% discount?
Answer: The following people will qualify for the 20% discount:
Anyone getting a new car insurance quote during the promotion.
Existing customers adding another/second car to their policy.
Customers who only have All-Risk cover and are now insuring a car.
Anyone who got a quote from us more than a month ago and would like a new one.
Question: Who does NOT Qualify?
Answer: The following people do not qualify for the 20% Black Friday discount:
Customers who have cancelled their Pineapple motor policy within the past 60 days (these are treated as reinstatements).
Existing customers wanting a discount on their active, already insured vehicle.

Answer: 27 November 2025; Time TBC.

Question: Does the 20% discount apply to all vehicles?
Answer: Yes, if the person or vehicle meets the eligibility criteria. The only exception is when an existing customer is seeking a 20% discount on their already insured vehicle. Customers can, however, get a quote on a second vehicle.
Question: Does the discount apply automatically?
Answer: Yes. The quote engine automatically applies the 20% discount.
Question: Does the 20% discount apply after excess or optional add-ons?
Answer: No. It applies only to the base car insurance quote.
Question: Can an existing customer get the discount on their current vehicle?
Answer: No. Only on additional vehicles added during the promotion period.
Question: Can an All-Risk customer with no car insurance add a car and receive the discount?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Can existing car insurance customers re-quote their car to get 20% off?
Answer: No.
Question: What if a customer cancelled less than 60 days ago and wants the discount?
Answer: They will go to Pineapple’s Retentions department. Their policy will be reinstated, and they will not be eligible for the Black Friday promotion.
Question: What if a customer cancelled more than 60 days ago?
Answer: They will be treated as a new lead and will qualify for the Black Friday promotion.
Question: What happens if someone quotes before the promotion starts?
Answer: They must start a new quote during the promotional window to receive the discount.
Question: Does the discount stay after the promotion ends?
Answer: Yes. If the policy is purchased during the promotional period, the discounted premium applies for the policy's entire term, subject to annual review.
If you (potential customer) quote but do not buy the policy, the quote will expire once the promotion ends, meaning you may not be eligible for the 20% discount.
Question: Does the 20% discount apply to renewals?
Answer: No.

Answer: Yes, potential customers can view the T&Cs on the Pineapple website. Promotional material, such as WhatsApp messages and Emails, will also include the terms and conditions embedded in the message for viewing.
